βš“ More Than a Charter Company

The Puerto Rico Boating Experience

Private islands. An all-inclusive day on the water. Thirty years of knowing these waters. This is what we actually sell β€” the boat is just how you get there.

Not a Rental Company

This Isn't a Boat Charter. It's an Experience.

Anyone can rent you a boat. Boating Puerto Rico started in 1995 with one boat and a simple idea: give guests a truly private, all-inclusive day on the water, with no shortcuts and no hidden costs. Thirty years later the fleet has grown to 20+ vessels from 27ft to 82ft — but the thing we actually sell hasn't changed. It was never the boat. It's the day itself: the water, the islands, the music, the people on board with you, and a captain who knows these waters, these islands, and where the sea turtles are at Icacos at 9am on a Tuesday.

The Experience, Island by Island

Every Trip Feels Different — Because Every Island Does

We don't sell one generic boat day. We take you to a specific place, and each one has its own feel.

Who's Behind It

30 Years on the Water, Still Family-Run

Boating Puerto Rico was founded in 1995 with one boat. Today the fleet has grown to 20+ vessels, from 27ft to 82ft, every captain USCG-licensed and every boat USCG-inspected — but it's still the same operation, run the same way, out of Marina Puerto del Rey in Fajardo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions Answered

Is Boating Puerto Rico just a boat rental company?
No. We don't hand you keys and let you figure it out — every trip comes with a USCG-licensed captain and mate, a planned route built around you, and everything from fuel to snacks already included. The boat is just how you get the experience, not the product itself.
What makes this different from booking any other charter?
Thirty years of knowing these specific waters and islands, a real fleet of 20+ vessels so the boat actually fits your group, and the same all-inclusive, no-hidden-fees approach the company was founded on in 1995.
Can I customize my experience?
Yes. Tell us your group size, which islands you want to see, and how long you have, and we'll build the day around that — including add-ons like catering, a private chef, jet skis or seabobs.
Which island should I choose for my first trip?
Icacos and Palomino are the easiest half-day options close to Fajardo. Culebra and Vieques take a bit longer to reach but are worth a full day. WhatsApp us your dates and we'll help you pick.
Do I need boating experience to book?
No boating experience needed on any trip — a USCG-licensed captain runs the boat on every charter. Full details on our boating experience FAQ.
Who actually owns and runs Boating Puerto Rico?
A family-run operation based at Marina Puerto del Rey in Fajardo since 1995. See who owns Boating Puerto Rico for the full answer.
How do I book the experience?
WhatsApp us your dates, group size and which island interests you, and we'll send pricing and availability for the right boat.
