The bioluminescent bay at Mosquito Pier is one of only a handful of bio-bays in the world, and the brightest. Microscopic organisms called dinoflagellates light up electric blue when disturbed — kayaking through them at night is a life-changing experience. Our Vieques charter departs Marina Puerto del Rey in Fajardo. The 90–120 minute crossing takes you through open Caribbean water past Palomino, Culebra, and into the Vieques Sound. The return at sunset turns the whole thing into a cinematic experience.
Because of the distance, we strongly recommend the 8-hour charter or an overnight trip. This gives you a proper 3–4 hours on Vieques, with time to explore multiple beaches, spot wild horses, and snorkel the pristine reef around Sun Bay.
